Job summary

Harman International in Bengaluru is seeking an Advanced Engineer for Embedded Software to design, develop and optimize automotive-grade Linux applications for telematics on embedded platforms. You will work in an agile team, contribute to scalable C/C++ code, leverage Open Embedded/BitBake, and participate in demos and product readiness for market.

Hybrid work with 3 in-office days per week; 5–8 years' experience required; a master’s or bachelor’s in electrical/communications/computer

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelors degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of overall software development experience.
• Hands on working experience with Linux on an embedded platform.
• Adept at designing and developing reusable and scalable C, C++ code.
• Proficient understanding of STL containers and algorithms.
• Good understanding of Linux IPC mechanisms (sockets, message queues, shared memory).
• Concepts and techniques for multithreaded applications.
• Working experience with Git, Gerrit, Perforce and GTest-based C++ unit tests.
• Open Embedded, BitBake package management.
