Position Title: Advanced Engineer Data

Function: Tech

Job Description:

Design and develop data pipelines and solutions for reporting and analytics with moderate guidance.
Contribute to building and maintaining ETL processes and data workflows, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Diagnose and fix issues in data systems; participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Monitor the performance of databases and data pipelines, suggesting basic optimizations.
Ensure data quality by performing validation, cleansing, and consistency checks.
Support patching and updates to keep applications and data platforms secure and up to date.
Participate in integrating new platforms or tools into existing environments and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile practices (sprints, standups, retrospectives).
Provide technical guidance to junior team members on basic tasks and share knowledge within the team.

Experience Required:

3+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
Good understanding of data structures, databases, and programming fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or Scala).
Practical experience working with SQL/PL-SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
Exposure to data modeling, ETL concepts, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Data Lake).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure for running and supporting data workloads.
Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git) in a team environment.
Ability to manage tasks independently, while also contributing as part of a team.
