Weir in Bengaluru seeks an Advanced Engineer to lead CAD development and prototype reviews, driving manufacturability and design governance across NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, and Inventor. You will coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transitions from prototype to production.

The role requires 10+ years in product development, strong 3D design skills, and a track record in mechanical or systems engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience with strong product development (NPD/NPI) expertise.
• Proficient in 3D design tools such as NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor.
• Solid design engineering knowledge in mechanical or systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD modeling and review using NX/SolidWorks/CATIA.
• Oversee prototype builds ensuring manufacturability and design governance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and final products; analyze data to drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers on materials and tooling; support production transitions.
• Plan, schedule, and track new product development activities across stages.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as technical lead in cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Occasional travel to collaborate with suppliers and sites.
