The candidate will conduct periodic site inspections, organize campaigns, and implement corrective actions while coordinating with project management for continual EHS improvements.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualification: Graduate Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Science Graduate.
• Professional Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (1 year) or NICMAR Construction Safety Management Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of EHS requirements at the workplace.
• Ensure implementation of the EHS Management System.
• Monitor the performance of EHS Inspectors.
• Recruit and select EHS Inspectors as per project requirements.
• Identify training needs and conduct EHS training for staff, visitors, subcontractors, and workmen.
• Evaluate compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Advise Project Manager and CEHSM on EHS non-compliances and compliance requirements.
• Identify and incorporate project-specific legal requirements in Project EHS Plans.
• Conduct periodic site EHS inspections and report findings for corrective action.
• Act as a catalyst for Project EHS Committee activities.
• Review and appraise site EHS performance and drive improvements.
• Ensure proactive EHS performance monitoring through various monitoring systems.
• Prepare and update Project EHS Plans.
• Prepare EHS Risk Assessments and Safe Work Methods.
• Report EHS observations to Project Manager for continual improvement.
• Organize EHS campaigns, competitions, and special emphasis programs.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze incident trends and initiate corrective actions.
• Establish, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures at project sites.
