Job summary

Genpact Kolkata is hiring for Accounts Payable - Payment Processing roles in a work-from-office setup. You will handle invoice processing, PO/Non-PO, vendor reconciliation, and ensure accuracy in AP records as part of a fast-moving finance team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Calculate, post transactions, process invoices, verify data for AP records.
• Process invoices with PO / Non-PO.
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
• Ensure quality of AP processes; handling of non-standard cases within the country.
• Verify and calculate extensions and totals on invoices; apply discounts when applicable.
• Check vendor files for prior payments and assign voucher numbers; prepare voucher listing.
• Identify & implement AP improvements.
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments cycle, GRIR reconciliations, Vendor advance etc.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

• College degree with a major in Finance (B.Com) or Accounting is preferred.
• Candidates should have related experience but highly qualified candidates without experience could be considered.

Preferred qualifications

• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Computer savvy with proficiency in Micrsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Process invoices with PO / Non-PO
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Ensure quality of AP processes, handling of all not compliant and not standard processes within the country
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers. Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Identify & implement AP improvements
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments cycle, GRIR reconciliations, Vendor advance etc
