Job description

We are looking for an Accounts Intern to join our finance team in Bengaluru for 4 to 6 months, with a full-time position on successful completion. You will work in Tally on the day-to-day books of a working electronics manufacturer - purchase and sales entries, GST and TDS workings, bank reconciliation, vendor and customer ledgers, and stock and inventory records. This is a hands-on role on live books under the supervision of our accounts team, not an observation internship. It suits a commerce graduate or a CA / CMA Inter student who wants to see how a manufacturing business actually accounts for itself.

Employment type: Internship
Duration: 4 to 6 months, with a full-time offer on successful completion
Experience: Fresher — no prior work experience required
Preferred Location: Bengaluru
Stipend: ₹8,000 – ₹12,000 / month

Day-to-Day Accounting in Tally
  • Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries in Tally accurately and on time.
  • Maintain vendor and customer ledgers, and follow up on differences with the concerned team.
  • Assist with bank reconciliation statements and petty cash accounting.
  • Help maintain stock and inventory records and support periodic physical stock verification.
Statutory & Compliance Support
  • Assist in preparing GST workings and reconciling GSTR-2B with the purchase register.
  • Support TDS computation, deduction records and return preparation.
  • Help assemble documentation for statutory filings, audits and internal reviews.
Documentation & Reporting
  • File and maintain invoices, delivery challans, purchase orders and expense vouchers.
  • Prepare basic MIS and expense reports in Excel for the finance team.
  • Coordinate with the sales, purchase and stores teams to close open entries and mismatches.
Education
  • B.Com, M.Com or BBA with a Finance / Accounting specialisation.
  • CA Inter or CMA Inter students are welcome to apply.
Skills
  • Working knowledge of Tally - coursework or project experience is enough, we will train you on our setup.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel (sorting, filters, basic formulas, VLOOKUP is a plus).
  • A basic understanding of GST and TDS concepts.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail - in accounts, a small entry error is a long afternoon later.
Soft Skills
  • Willing to learn, ask questions and take ownership of small tasks end to end.
  • Organised, punctual and able to keep confidential financial information confidential.
  • Clear written and spoken English; Kannada or Hindi is an added advantage.
  • Available to work full-time from our Bengaluru office for the full internship period.
What We Offer
  • Monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 based on the interview.
  • A full-time position on successful completion of the internship.
  • Hands-on Tally experience on live company books, not sample data.
  • Direct mentoring from our accounts and finance team.
  • Internship completion certificate and a letter of recommendation.
  • Exposure to the full finance cycle of a manufacturing business - GST, TDS, inventory, audit support.
