We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage our financial operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Member Billing: Prepare and issue accurate quarterly maintenance invoices to all society members in a timely manner.
- Payment Follow-up: Diligently follow up with members on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection and maintaining accurate records of receivables.
- Accounts Payable: Manage and process accounts payable, including verifying invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Vendor Contract Review: Review and understand contracts with various vendors to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing their queries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, payments, and other relevant documentation.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports as required by the Managing Committee.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting principles and co-operative society regulations.
- General Accounting Support: Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Managing Committee as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 2-4 years) in handling accounts, preferably in a similar role or within a co-operative housing society.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with members and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Familiarity with co-operative society accounting practices and regulations would be an advantage.
- Integrity and a high level of ethical conduct.
