Arango in Hyderabad, India, hybrid role requiring a Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of professional accounting experience, to manage daily financial operations, payroll compliance, taxes, and statutory filings.

The role collaborates with HR and the international finance team to ensure regulatory adherence, maintain corporate records, and support annual audits. Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP/Ind AS, GST, TDS, and RBI guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong baseline knowledge of Indian GAAP/Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, TDS, Payroll Compliance, Companies Act, and ROC filings.
• Proficient in Excel, Google Workspace, payroll systems, and accounting ERP.
• Fluent in English and Hindi; familiarity with local regional language is advantageous.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities with accuracy and minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and employee expense tracking.
• Oversee monthly payroll and ensure statutory adherence (PF, ESI, PT, Labour Welfare Fund, etc.).
• Partner with HR to streamline payroll updates and onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Handle direct and indirect taxation calculations and compliance.
• Maintain secretarial compliances, corporate records, statutory registers, annual returns, and board resolutions.
• Monitor changes in Indian regulatory framework (Companies Act, FEMA, RBI) for ongoing compliance.
• Act as liaison with government authorities for audits, notices, and assessments; support annual audits with international finance team.

Reports to: Director of Accounting & Tax

Core Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and employee expense tracking in line with accounting standards.


• Manage the monthly payroll and ensure statutory adherence to regulations including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and other employee-related mandates.


• Partner with HR to streamline payroll updates, employee onboarding, and exit procedures.


• Handle calculations and compliance for both direct and indirect taxation.


• Maintain all secretarial compliances, corporate records, statutory registers, annual returns, and board resolutions.


• Monitor modifications to Indian corporate regulations, including the Companies Act, FEMA, and RBI guidelines, to ensure continuous compliance.


• Act as the organizational liaison with government authorities for audits, notices, and official assessments.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with the international finance team to prepare and provide documentation for annual audits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: Certified Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of professional accounting experience.


• Expertise: Strong baseline knowledge regarding Indian GAAP/Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, TDS, Payroll Compliance, the Companies Act, and ROC filings.


• Tools: Exceptional proficiency utilizing Excel, Google Workspace applications, payroll systems, and accounting ERP.


• Languages: Full professional fluency in both English and Hindi (verbal and written); additional command of the office location's local regional language is highly advantageous.


• Execution: Proved capability to balance multiple operational priorities independently with absolute accuracy and minimal guidance.


• Context: Previous background handling financial workflows for a fast-growing tech startup, an international corporation, or a foreign subsidiary is strongly preferred.
