Job summary

Cognito Excellence invites applications for an Accounting & Finance Intern to gain hands-on exposure to Indian accounting, GST, and TDS compliance in a professional setting.

You will work on day-to-day entries in Tally, GST data preparation, GST filing, bank reconciliations, MIS reports, and support month-end closing under supervision in Delhi.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated Accounting & Finance Intern who wants hands-on exposure to real-world accounting, taxation, and compliance work. This internship is ideal for students or freshers who want practical experience in Indian accounting and GST/TDS compliances.

Internship Role

Accounting & Finance Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting entries in Tally
• Recording sales, purchase, expense, and journal entries
• Bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny
• Preparation and review of GST data
• Filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and basic GST reconciliations
• Preparation of TDS workings and assistance in TDS return filing
• Data preparation for income tax and GST returns
• Working on Excel sheets for reconciliations, summaries, and MIS
• Maintaining proper documentation and compliance records
• Assisting seniors in month-end and year-end closing activities

Required Skills & Eligibility

• Basic working knowledge of Tally
• Good command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas preferred)
• Understanding of GST concepts and return filing
• Basic knowledge of TDS provisions and returns
• Commerce background (B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / CS / CMA students preferred)
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks

Internship Duration

Minimum 6 months

Extendable based on performance
