Job summary

Akron Intel is seeking an Accounting Analyst – Accounting Oversight to support day-to-day oversight activities within the Aladdin platform. The role involves reviewing positions, cash, accruals, income, expenses, and corporate actions to ensure accurate records.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of experience in Investment/Fund Accounting, Reconciliation, or Investment Operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in Investment/Fund Accounting, Reconciliation or Investment Operations.
• Experience with mutual funds, ETFs, institutional accounts or investment management operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting oversight activities within Aladdin Accounting and Accounting Quality Control (AQC).
• Review and validate positions, cash, accruals, income, expenses, gains/losses, and corporate actions.
• Investigate and resolve accounting exceptions through Aladdin dashboards and control reports.
• Research accounting breaks and identify root causes across transactions, security master data, pricing, and corporate actions.
• Perform reconciliations and maintain evidence of reviews, exception resolution, and control completion.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities.
• Assist with onboarding of funds, portfolios, securities, and investment products.
• Participate in UAT, parallel testing, conversion, and Aladdin implementation activities.
• Collaborate with Custodians, TPAs, Operations, Data Management, Technology, and Accounting teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and workflow enhancements.
• Support operational reporting and escalation of material accounting issues.

We are looking for an Accounting Analyst – Accounting Oversight to support day-to-day accounting oversight activities within the Aladdin platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Investment Accounting, Fund Accounting, Reconciliation, NAV Validation, or Investment Operations and a strong interest in developing expertise in Aladdin and investment operations.

• 1–5 years of experience in Investment Accounting, Fund Accounting, Reconciliation, Investment Operations, or Financial Services.
• Experience with mutual funds, ETFs, institutional accounts, or investment management operations is preferred.
• Experience with Aladdin, InvestOne, SimCorp Dimension, Eagle, Geneva, Multifonds, or similar investment accounting platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, and investigative abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
