Role Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Associate for American Campus Communities (ACC), a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company and the largest owner, manager and developer of high-quality student housing communities in the United States. This role is based in Bengaluru, India and is hired through Revantage India. The Accounting Associate supports ACC's accounting and financial reporting processes through the accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial schedules and related supporting workpapers. Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Associate performs assigned accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP, company policies, established close timelines and internal control requirements. The Accounting Associate works closely with other members of the Accounting organization and US-based stakeholders to obtain complete and accurate information, research routine discrepancies and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities. The role is expected to maintain well-supported workpapers, respond timely to reviewer feedback, identify exceptions promptly and elevate matters requiring additional review or accounting judgment
