Elektrokraft in Jamshedpur invites an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounts using Tally and ensure GST/TDS compliance for a trading and project‑oriented business. This office-based role supports a trading and project-driven business.

You will maintain ledgers and vouchers, prepare entries and reconciliations, and file GST returns and TDS. Coordinate with management and external advisers to keep books accurate.

Qualifikationen

• At least 5 years of practical accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally accounting software.
• Hands-on knowledge of GST return preparation / filing and applicable TDS rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries, ledgers, vouchers and supporting records in Tally.
• Prepare sales, purchase, payment, receipt and journal entries, and carry out routine reconciliations.
• Prepare and support filing of GST returns, including reconciliation of sales and purchase records.
• Calculate / reconcile TDS deductions and support timely statutory TDS filings and related records.
• Monitor vendor and customer balances, follow up on discrepancies and maintain orderly books of account.
• Coordinate with management and external tax / audit advisers as required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical experience in accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally accounting software.
• Hands-on knowledge of GST return preparation / filing and applicable TDS rules.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in retail, distribution, trading or project accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel and bank / ledger reconciliation.
