Job Summary : An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting financial operations within an organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software. The Accountant will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and help with decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record keeping
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
    • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Tax Preparation
    • Prepare and file taxes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Assist with audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Assist in preparing and monitoring the company’s budget.
    • Forecast financial performance and provide insights for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
    • Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payments.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
    • Provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Compliance and Auditing
    • Ensure financial operations comply with company policies, laws, and regulations.
    • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Software and Tools
    • Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) to record transactions, generate reports, and track financial activities.
    • Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, human resources) to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Provide financial information and support to management for decision‑making.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Experience – 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Technical Skills – Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) and strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Analytical Skills – Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.
