Job summary

Xtraserve Consultancy in Odisha is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage day-to-day books, bank reconciliations, GST and TDS compliance, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and banks to ensure accuracy and timely updates of records.

The candidate should be a commerce graduate with 1–5 years of experience, proficient in Tally/ERP and MS Excel, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective

• 1–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Tally/ERP and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books: sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Handle bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny and account reconciliation.
• Prepare GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.
• Assist in GST returns, TDS returns and income tax-related workings.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly financial reporting and MIS.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, banks and internal teams for accounting-related matters.

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Handle bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny and account reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain records for GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.
• Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns and income tax-related workings.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly financial reporting and preparation of MIS reports.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, banks and internal teams for accounting-related matters.
• Monitor receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
• Assist in year-end closing, audit requirements and statutory filings.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely updating of financial records.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent qualification.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation preferred.
• Good knowledge of Tally/ERP, MS Excel and accounting software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
