• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).

Accountant

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan (On-site)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Accountant to own day‑to‑day bookkeeping and statutory compliance. This is a full‑cycle role: you will maintain the books end to end in Zoho Books, close the month on time, and keep GST and TDS filings clean. Suited to someone who works accurately without being chased and is comfortable being the go‑to person for anything finance‑related.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and reconciliation

• Maintain complete books of accounts in Zoho Books, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny and vendor/customer masters
• Bank, credit card and payment gateway reconciliations
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Payables and receivables

• Process vendor bills, run payments, and track payables ageing
• Raise customer invoices, follow up on collections, and review receivables ageing
• Verify and settle employee expense claims and petty cash

Statutory compliance

• Prepare monthly GST workings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and GSTR-2B reconciliation
• TDS computation, deposit, quarterly returns (24Q/26Q) and Form 16/16A issuance
• Coordinate PF, ESI and Professional Tax payments with HR
• Support advance tax, income tax and ROC filings with the consultant

Closing and reporting

• Month‑end close: accruals, prepaid expenses, provisions and schedules
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and MIS reports
• Handle statutory and internal audit requirements, including schedules, vouchers and auditor queries

Mandatory Requirements

• Zoho Books: strong, hands‑on working experience (non‑negotiable). You should be independently comfortable with the banking module, GST setup and filings, recurring invoices, chart of accounts configuration and custom reports
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations
• B.Com or M.Com; CA Inter or CMA Inter is an advantage
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS and Indian accounting practices
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Currently based in Jaipur, or willing to relocate before joining

Good to Have

• Experience across the wider Zoho suite (Zoho Payroll, Zoho Expense, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Analytics)
• Exposure to e‑invoicing and e‑way bill generation
• Experience migrating books from Tally to Zoho Books
• Prior experience at a startup or SME where you owned the books single‑handedly
