Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Bangalore seeks an experienced Accountant to join the GLBL BusSvcs RTR team within Global Finance Services. The role focuses on Record To Report for US, UK and APAC entities, delivering accurate financial records and reports from our Bangalore GBS Center.

The candidate should have 3-4 years of accounting education and 4-5 years of relevant experience, with CA/CMA/US CPA preferred, and should be comfortable working in shifts across APAC, EMEA, and US time zones.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of Accounting Degree or equivalent.
• Professional Certification from CA/CMA institute/US CPA/CMA preferrable
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in captive accounting service centres or large corporates with Manufacturing & Service nature of business
• Preferably extended exposure in handling Fixed Assets Accounting as per US GAAP
• Basics in handling multiple ERP's and varied accounting tools

Responsibilities

• Perform Record To Report (RTR) activities for Global entities as part of Centre of Excellence (COE) team from Bangalore Global Business Services (GBS).
• Provide timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
• Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analysing and reporting of consolidated financial results.
