Job summary

The Access Field Manager at Novartis India will design and implement state-level access strategies in collaboration with government institutions, payers and health authorities to improve timely access to Novartis therapies.

You will lead cross-functional teams, assess patient journeys, identify innovative access channels, and build partnerships to support policy engagement and sustainable access across targeted states and UTs in India.

Qualifications

• Science degree and MBA/MP Policy or equivalent.
• 8+ years experience incl 5+ in public health/market access/healthcare strategy.
• Experience with state governments, public health institutions, payers, and healthcare admins.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic and tactical access plans aligned to the portfolio.

• Unlock alternative funding sources, including public-private partnerships and Managed Entry Agreements.
• Build relationships with government officials, policymakers, healthcare providers, and patient organizations.
• Support state-level advocacy and public policy engagement.
• Partner with marketing and communications teams on value proposition messaging.

Summary

The Access Field Manager is accountable for developing and implementing state-level access strategies and partnerships that address priority access barriers and support healthcare system evolution. The role works closely with state healthcare systems, government institutions, public health bodies, payers and other stakeholders to co-create sustainable solutions that improve timely and appropriate access to Novartis therapies across targeted states and Union Territories in India.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant science degree plus a master's degree in business administration, Public Policy, Communications, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5+ years in public health, market access, healthcare strategy, development sector, or related fields.
• Experience working with state governments, public health institutions, payers, and healthcare administrators.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder leadership skills.
