Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and result-oriented Business Development Associate who will play a key role in driving the growth of our online higher education programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building institutional partnerships, managing the sales lifecycle, and strengthening Shiksolves presence in the education market.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a target-driven environment, enjoy relationship building, and have a keen interest in the EdTech and online education space.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and onboard universities, colleges, and educational institutions to promote Shiksolves online higher education programs.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, digital outreach, networking events, and strategic campaigns.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with academic institutions, corporate partners, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential partners and propose tailored education solutions.
Sales & Partnership Management
  • Manage the complete sales cycle—from lead generation to deal closure and post-sales engagement.
  • Deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective partners.
  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements ensuring long‑term value and revenue growth.
  • Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities with existing partners.
Strategic Planning & Market Expansion
  • Execute business development strategies aligned with organizational growth goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in online education.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of partnerships.
Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners and clients.
  • Ensure partner satisfaction, retention, and continuous engagement.
  • Conduct regular reviews to understand evolving needs and introduce additional services.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Maintain accurate sales records, pipelines, and forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Share insights on market trends, client feedback, and competitor movements with leadership.
Collaboration & Team Contribution
  • Work closely with internal teams to support campaigns, launches, and partner onboarding.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, sharing ideas to improve sales processes and outcomes.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience or strong exposure to business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in EdTech or education.
  • Understanding of the online education ecosystem and institutional sales.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship‑building ability with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
  • Target‑driven mindset with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and MS Office.
