Job summary

IIM Bangalore is seeking an Academic Associate in the Public Policy Area to support faculty with research and teaching activities, including proctoring duties. The role targets candidates with strong academic credentials and an interest in pursuing doctoral studies.

The position is initially for one year with potential extension up to three years, based in Bengaluru and reporting to the Chairperson - Public Policy Area. An all-inclusive monthly stipend is provided.

Job Purpose

The position is suitable for candidates with excellent academic credentials who have a long-term interest in doing their doctoral program and engaging in teaching and research.

Reporting to

Chairperson -Public Policy Area

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• The candidate is required to provide research and teaching support to the faculty depending on the requirements of the faculty.
• The candidate should be willing and interested to assist faculty on all aspects of their academic research and teaching work.
• The candidate should support the proctoring duties of the institute as and when assigned and other assignments that are given from time to time.

Qualification and Personal Profile

Candidates are required to hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, Population Studies, Hospital Administration, International Relations or other related disciplines.

Duration

Initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum period of three years.

Stipend

An all-inclusive monthly stipend will be in the range of ₹ 43,000/- to ₹ 55,000/- based on experience of the applicant.
