Job summary

Actalent Services in Bengaluru seeks a 3DCS Tolerance Stack-up Analyst to drive dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis in automotive manufacturing. You will build 3DCS models, interpret drawings, and apply Worst-Case, RSS, and Monte Carlo methods to ensure design compliance and tooling integrity, collaborating with QA and production teams.

Requires a BE/BTech in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, 3+ years of tolerance analysis experience, and proficiency in 3DCS, Catia V5, GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in dimensional engineering or tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in 3DCS, Catia V5, GD&T and tolerance stack methodologies.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, CAD tools and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional analysis and support quality control processes to ensure product compliance.
• Develop and manage tolerance stacks to verify fit and functional integrity.

• Support simulation activities to validate process, design, tooling, and structural integrity.

• Work with QA teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Document simulation processes, assumptions, and results in detail.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports communicating findings and recommendations.

3DCS- Tolerance Stack up Analyst:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional analysis and support quality control processes to ensure product compliance.
• Develop and manage tolerance stacks to verify fit and functional integrity.
• Interpret and review engineering drawings and specifications for design compliance.
• Support simulation activities to validate process, design, tooling, and structural integrity.
• Build and maintain 3DCS tolerance simulation/analysis models.
• Collaborate with customers, onsite and plant teams to develop GD&T standards.

  • Worst-Case Analysis
  • Root Sum Squared (RSS) Analysis
  • Monte Carlo Simulation
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to resolve dimensional issues and enhance manufacturing processes.
• Document simulation processes, assumptions, and results in detail.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in dimensional engineering or tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in 3DCS, Catia V5, GD&T, and tolerance stack methodologies.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, CAD tools, and quality systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred.
