Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad/Bangalore is seeking software engineers to design and develop software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets, with focus on embedded real-time software, device drivers, and multimedia capabilities across Windows Mobile, Android, and Linux.

The role covers OS concepts, data structures, C/C++ design, and wireless modem contexts, with opportunities to work on Linux kernel development, TCP/IP stacks, and multimedia pipelines within Android and other embedded

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• A strong foundation in C/C++ and object-oriented design.
• Good understanding of OS concepts and data structures.
• Experience with wireless network standards such as CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE.
• Familiarity with multimedia technologies including audio, video, imaging.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in teams.

As a software engineer, you will design, develop software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets based on cutting‑edge technology.

Technical Areas

Qualcomm is looking for an energetic, creative, and self‑driven engineer to work in multimedia technologies such as audio and video codecs, image processing; wireless modem technologies such as 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, self‑organizing networks; platform‑level software such as Linux, Android, Windows, board support packages; and IoT technologies for connected cameras, smart assistants, drones, virtual reality, augmented reality.
