Job summary

A leading tax consultancy firm in Gurugram is looking for a candidate with expertise in tax compliance processes and significant experience with Form 1040. The ideal applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting and possess strong analytical skills. You will be responsible for reviewing complex tax returns and providing guidance to team members. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Form 1040 (Global Mobility/Global Employer Services).
  • Understanding financial statements and workpapers.
  • Experience with individual tax return and tax compliance software.

Responsibilities

  • Review moderate and complex tax returns.
  • Follow instructions from Tax Team members.
  • Train team members as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or another relevant field required.
  • Masters degree in accounting beneficial, masters degree in taxation preferred.
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of prior experience in working on Form 1040 (Global Mobility/Global Employer Services)
  • Prior experience in working on K-1’s, Foreign Tax Credit and Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.
  • Proficient in Tax Split/Tax Equalization Calculation.
  • Prior experience with individual tax return experience (Form 1040) and tax contact job.
  • Prior basic supervisory experience preferred.
  • Understanding of financial statements and the underlying supporting workpapers.
  • CPA, EA would be added advantage.
Software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat, SP Binder.
  • Experience in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, Geosystems', SP Binder or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers.
Other Knowledge, Skills Abilities
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions as directed by members of Tax Team.
  • Ability to review moderate and complex tax returns.
