Gurteen Youth Community Employment Project Limited is a community employment program offering opportunities to individuals who meet specific eligibility criteria. The role is located at BALLYFERMOT YOUTH SERVICE, 41 Decies Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10.

Eligibility

Applicants must be 21 years or older and receiving a qualifying social welfare payment for at least one year, or 18 years or older for specific disadvantaged groups. Verification will be conducted by the Department.

Responsibilities
  • Work with young people to enrich their lives through after‑school and evening clubs and other community activities.
  • Support the development of youth initiatives and participate in youth exchange programmes with other countries.
  • Assist in organising and facilitating youth activities, ensuring a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervising staff and volunteers to achieve club objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Commitment to youth development and community service.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
Compensation & Benefits

CE wage is at least €271.50 per week. Employees retain social welfare entitlements such as fuel and Christmas bonuses.
