A leading child and family services provider in Dublin seeks a work-based learner for a 6-month training program in social care. This position offers a combination of classroom-based learning and practical experience by shadowing a social care worker. The role focuses on developing essential social care skills while providing administrative support. Purpose of role: This programme involves 3 months classroom-based learning followed by 3 months’ work placement in Tusla Special Care Unit in Dublin. The purpose of the post is to provide the employee with on the job learning opportunities as a work-based learner in social care with access to shadow a social care worker, learn social care skills while providing direct administration support to the social care services that seeks to improve the health and social wellbeing of the service users within the context of local communities and children’s residential and special care services. On successful completion of the 6-month programme and evidence of competency assessment, you will be offered a permanent contract of employment.
