Job Description

Our client, Pudaxa Limited, based in Donabate, Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Welders for immediate start at their facility in Turvey Lane, Donabate, Co. Dublin, K36 P589. Qualifications: 1-3 years’ of previous welding experience required. Welding Certification preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. Candidates must be able to mig weld, perform fillet welds and read drawings.

Responsibilities

• To operate welding equipment in order to join metalwork pieces together.
• To use fusion welding processes based on various techniques and materials.
• To perform simple visual inspection of welds.
• To perform fillet welds, mig welding and read drawings.
• To wear appropriate protective gear and adhere to safety standards.
• To smooth burred surfaces and recognise metal imperfections.
• This role requires knowledge of welding techniques, torch temperature for metal processes, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas.
• Essential knowledge includes welding from drawings (2D and 3D), mig welding and fillet welds.
• Essential skills include aligning components, joining metals and operating welding equipment, including oxy-fuel torch.
• Candidates must be competent to apply arc welding techniques and precision metalworking techniques.
• Candidates must be competent to ensure correct metal temperature and handle fuels.
• Candidates must have experience in recognising signs of corrosion and removing inadequate workpieces.
• Candidates must have experience in performing metal active gas welding and inert gas welding.
• Candidates must have 1-3 years’ of relevant experience as a Welder.
