Gannons City Recovery & Recycling Services Limited, based in Donabate, Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Welders for immediate start for their two facilities in Co. Dublin.

Qualifications: 1‑3 years’ of previous welding experience required. Welding certification preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on‑the‑job as required. Candidates must be able to MIG weld, perform fillet welds and read drawings.

General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience

• Operate welding equipment to join metalwork pieces together.
• Use fusion welding processes based on various techniques and materials.
• Perform simple visual inspection of welds.
• Perform fillet welds, MIG welding and read drawings.
• Wear appropriate protective gear and adhere to safety standards.
• Smooth burr‑ed surfaces and recognise metal imperfections.
• Apply knowledge of welding techniques, torch temperature, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas.
• Apply arc welding techniques and precision metalworking techniques.
• Understand welding from drawings (2D and 3D), MIG welding and fillet welds.
• Align components, join metals and operate welding equipment, including oxy‑fuel torch.
• Ensure correct metal temperature and handle fuels.
• Recognise signs of corrosion and remove inadequate workpieces.
• Perform metal active gas welding and inert gas welding.

Annual Remuneration

€34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour.
