Job summary

Coffey in Ireland is seeking a Design Coordinator to support planning, design and coordination on water and wastewater projects. You will liaise with internal and external design teams to translate concepts into buildable solutions while keeping safety and schedules in focus.

The role involves coordinating design packages, managing interfaces, and ensuring designs meet client requirements. You will support the Design Manager and Project Manager and contribute to robust technical solutions on

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience to support competency in design coordination.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience, with water/wastewater industry preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Project.
• Full Irish/EU driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design works package delivery with clear responsibilities and quality controls.
• Manage interfaces between internal and external design resources.
• Coordinate information between designers and other stakeholders impacted by design changes.
• Ensure the design meets the Employer's requirements.
• Ensure duties under safety regulations are complied with.
• Manage the project design programme and budget and report hours.
• Ensure designs are safe to build, operate and maintain.
• Support the Design Manager and Project Manager and collaborate with project teams.
• Maintain communication and relationships with clients and stakeholders.
