Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Ireland seeks an experienced Project Manager to deliver key water infrastructure projects. The role is permanent within our Operations Department, focusing on planning, execution and successful delivery of complex water-related civil engineering works.

You will lead projects across urban and rural environments around Dublin, liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery, value engineering and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Full clean driver's license is essential.
• Experience with UK or Irish Water Standards (Potable & Foul) is essential.
• A relevant qualification is desirable.
• Confident, motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong time management, communication and customer service skills.
• Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for running multiple projects in urban and rural environments.
• Oversee projects with a commercial perspective.
• Manage sewer and water connections across greater Dublin area and surrounding counties.
• Detail costs to complete values and claims narratives.
• Build relationships with Clients, Client Representatives and third party providers.
• Draft and review drawings for value engineering and efficient design.
• Prepare design packs from concept to detailed designs with environmental input.
• Draft regular status reports and guidance for the business.
• Lead and develop the existing project team.
• Coordinate with staff, departments, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
