Job summary

A facility management company located in Longford is seeking a part-time Waste Operative. In this role, you will manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including loading and emptying bins, and operating compactors. Experience in waste management and forklift training is preferred but not essential. Join a dedicated team Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 10:30 with growth opportunities in environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental or Waste management is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to demonstrate awareness of Health and Safety good practice in relation to cleaning procedures.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Forklift training is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with on-site hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
• Loading of curtain siders and containers by use of Forklift.
• Servicing hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection points throughout the client site.
• Emptying Non-hazardous and Hazardous waste bins.
• Filling and use of the general waste compactor.
• Filling and use of the Dry Mixed Recyclable Compactor and baling of waste streams.
• Completing all relevant paperwork regarding non-hazardous waste.

We are currently looking for part-time Waste Operative to join our team in Longford.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday from 06.30-10.30

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• General services operatives are responsible for dealing with on-site hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. Duties, not restricted to, are as follows:
• Loading of curtain siders and containers by use of Forklift
• To service hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection points throughout the client site
• Empty Non-hazardous bins
• Empty Hazardous waste bins
• Filling and use of the general waste compactor
• Filling and use of the Dry Mixed Recyclable Compactor Baling of cardboard, plastic, and paper waste streams.
• Completion of all relevant paperwork with regard to non-hazardous waste, other paperwork and admin duties.
