Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Person to keep stock organised and ready for collection or delivery. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while maintaining high health and safety standards.

The role offers a 40-hour week, no evening or Sunday work, and a strong bonus and pension package, with opportunities for development and a generous staff discount on Howdens products.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Strong stock control and health and safety understanding.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accurate records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management.
• Customer-focused with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Clear communication and planning abilities.
• Reliable, hands-on approach and safe, tidy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock accurately to health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Perform regular stock checks and maintain records.
• Keep warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with professional service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse ops.
• Work closely with depot team to ensure smooth operation.
