Job summary

BD Trading in Ballyhale, Co Kilkenny, Ireland, is seeking a reliable Picker & Palletiser to join our warehouse team. You will pick customer orders, build pallets, and prepare goods for dispatch in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and safety are essential as you handle ambient, chilled, and frozen products. The role offers full training and opportunities for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
• Experience in food or FMCG warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
• Manual Handling Certificate is desirable (training can be provided).
• PPT (Power Pallet Truck) or forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists or handheld scanners.
• Build and wrap pallets securely for transport.
• Pack products safely to prevent damage during delivery.
• Label pallets and orders correctly.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Check products for damage or shortages before dispatch.
• Assist with goods received and stock replenishment.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
• Comply with all Health & Safety, food hygiene, and company policies.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues to meet daily targets.
