Job summary

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Naas, Ireland. You will play a key role in handling international and domestic cargo safely, accurately and efficiently to keep goods moving and supply chains running.

You will load, unload, inspect cargo, document conditions, and ensure compliance with health, safety and security standards. Training will be provided where required, and you will be part of a global network delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate is essential.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience handling import, export, or domestic freight would be advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and handle international import, export, and domestic cargo safely and efficiently.
• Check and document cargo condition on arrival, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
• Complete warehouse documentation accurately and maintain records.
• Carry out visual inspections and pre-operational checks on mechanical handling equipment.
• Assess trailers before loading to ensure safe operation.
• Complete loading/unloading manifests and related paperwork; training provided.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and comply with IMDG and ADR requirements; training provided where required.
• Adhere to company security, quality and operational standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Demonstrate responsibility, reliability and punctuality.
• Support the team in meeting customer requirements and service expectations.
