Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking Warehouse Operatives to join our Cork distribution centre on a day shift. Starting wage is €14.64 per hour with potential increases after 12 months and opportunities for overtime.

Previous warehouse experience is helpful but full training is provided to get you up to speed. Join a team serving thousands of cafés, restaurants and bars across Ireland with a strong focus on safety, quality and career progression.

Qualifications

• 2 years warehouse experience preferred but not essential; full induction provided.
• Ability to work 5 days over 7 with possible weekends and overtime.
• Strong communication and safety mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand select orders in ambient, cooler and freezer environments.
• Meet or exceed efficiency and accuracy targets.
• Follow SOPs, safety, hygiene and company policies.
• Operate MHE and general warehouse equipment with training provided.
• Perform other general warehousing duties as assigned.

We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our team in our distribution centre at Cork. This is a day shift role with a starting rate of €14+ per hour and opportunities for overtime. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.

Key Accountabilities:

• Hand Selection of orders within multi-temperature environments (Ambient, Cooler and Freezer chambers)

• Meet or exceed minimum efficiency and accuracy levels

• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene and Operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies

• Follow Manual Handling, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and any other, role relevant, training (full training will be provided)

• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to mechanical handling equipment, arm mounted terminal

• Perform any other general warehousing duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2 years previous Warehouse experience , full 2–4-week induction and training programme provided

• High reach Truck Experience Highly desirable

• Availability for 5 over 7 days working week (weekends included), ability to work different shift patterns and overtime when required

• A team player with the ability to work to deadlines in the fast-paced environment

• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations

• High level of productivity and accuracy with a safety conscious mindset

• No public transport available to/from depot – own transport advisable
