The Fruit People are seeking a Warehouse & Merchandising Operative to join our Dublin-based Operations team. This split role combines warehouse picking and packing on Sundays with on-site merchandising at customer sites across Dublin three weekdays.
You will help stock kitchens, fridges and snack stands, ensure displays are tidy, rotate stock using FIFO, and contribute to food safety records and HACCP training. This position is permanent, part-time, 20 hours per week.
Operations – Warehouse & VIP Team | Part-time, 20 hours per week
The Fruit People are looking for a Warehouse & Merchandising Operative to join our Operations team. This is a split role that combines warehouse work with on-site customer merchandising.
On Sundays, you will work in our Dublin 11 warehouse, helping to pick, pack and prepare orders for the week ahead.
On three weekdays, you will visit customer sites across Dublin to keep kitchens, fridges and snack stands stocked, clean and well presented.
Because this role connects what leaves our warehouse with what customers actually use on site, your feedback will play an important part in helping us improve stock selection, ordering and waste reduction.
The Fruit People are market leaders in providing offices in Ireland with fresh fruit, healthy snacks, dairy products and pantry items. We work with local artisan producers and catering partners to create a great food and beverage experience for our customers.
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week
Sunday: 8-hour warehouse shift in Dublin 11
Weekdays: 3 shifts of 4 hours on customer sites across Dublin
Training provided: Full induction, Manual Handling, HACCP Level 1 and Level 2
Equipment provided: Uniform and PPE, including safety shoes
Pick and pack orders accurately for Monday deliveries
Prepare cages and pallets for VIP and standard runs, ensuring they are correctly labelled and ready to go
Receive goods into the warehouse, checking quantities, dates and condition
Put stock away in the correct locations
Rotate stock using FIFO principles
Keep chilled and dry storage areas organised
Complete food safety records, including temperature checks and cleaning schedules, in line with our HACCP plan
Maintain a clean, safe and tidy warehouse environment
Report any damage, shortages or safety concerns promptly
Stock kitchens, fridges and snack stands according to each site’s layout and standards
Keep displays full, tidy and appealing
Rotate stock using FIFO and remove any out-of-date or damaged products
Carry out weekly stock counts and record them using our app
Clean and restock coffee machines, fridges and kitchen areas
Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products and share feedback with the Merchandising Supervisor
Represent The Fruit People in a friendly and professional way on customer sites
Report customer issues or concerns on the same day so they can be resolved quickly
Orders are picked and packed accurately and ready on time
Customer kitchens and displays are consistently well stocked, clean and presentable
Stock is rotated correctly and waste is kept to a minimum
Food safety records are completed accurately
Customers have a positive experience with The Fruit People on site
Useful feedback from sites helps improve ordering and product selection
Reliable availability for every Sunday plus three weekday shifts
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move stock safely
Clear communication skills, including the ability to complete written food safety records
A professional and courteous approach when working in customer offices
Ability to travel to customer sites across Dublin
Right to work in Ireland
Experience in a warehouse, retail, merchandising or food environment
We will give you the training and support you need to succeed in the role, including:
Induction and company overview
Warehouse training covering store layout, picking, goods in and FIFO
On-site training through shadowing at customer locations to learn each layout and standard
Manual Handling training before you begin lifting
HACCP Level 1 within your first month
HACCP Level 2 within your first three months
