Job summary

A leading fresh produce logistics company in Dublin seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager. The role involves managing warehouse resources, leading the team to ensure optimal productivity, and ensuring compliance with HACCP and BRC Food Safety standards. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and strong leadership skills. This is a permanent position but is not on a public transport route, so own transport is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as Warehouse Manager / Supervisor Role in FMCG.
  • Proven track record of effective resource management to maximize productivity.
  • Proven track record of people management & strong leadership ability.
  • Proven track record of dealing with suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • IT literate and proficient in MS Office suite.

Overview

Sam Dennigan & Company uc., one of the largest Irish owned Fresh Produce and logistics company based in North Co. Dublin, are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Oldtown, North County Dublin.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all warehouse resources to ensure adequate availability at all times to facilitate the effective running of the warehouse to the required highest standard.
  • Utilise resources to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
  • Lead the warehouse team to deliver a best in class service to our customers in line with the business objectives.
  • Manage timekeeping and attendance via the Time Management System (TMS) to maintain optimal staffing and productivity levels.
  • Manage and ensure adherence and compliance of warehouse processes within the business
  • Ensure effective communication within the warehouse teams and implement practices which will ensure the engagement of employees in line with Sam Dennigan & Co. values
  • Maintain a working environment in line with legislation to include Health & Safety, Food Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Support returns and damaged goods processing, ensuring compliance with company standards and traceability requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to HACCP and BRC Food Safety standards
  • Ensuring excellent levels of service and quality to customers
  • Build and sustain a high performing engaged team by providing clear direction, pick targets, regular reviews to manage all levels of performance
  • Ensure appropriate performance review, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing coaching and support for staff and supervisors.

Ensure Return-to-Work interviews, informal discussions, and accident reports are completed accurately and promptly.

Conduct new starter inductions, ensuring all employees fully understand their roles, site safety procedures, and operational standards.

Communicate clearly and positively to engage all colleagues to ensure they understand their role in delivering the business objectives

  • Lead the team by example: ensuring effective communication, support and practices are in place.
  • Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and processes as an integral part of day-to-day operations
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Assist in identifying training and development needs of staff in line with business objectives
Candidate Requirements
