Our team is passionate about helping nurses develop their skills and reach their full potential. You'll be working alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurse who genuinely enjoy sharing their knowledge and supporting the next generation of veterinary professionals.

For a new graduate, this role offers an excellent first step into practice with the right balance of guidance, independence and hands‑on experience. For experienced nurses, it offers the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while becoming part of a growing and ambitious team.

A Role with Variety and Opportunity

As a Veterinary Nurse at Athlone, you'll be involved in all aspects of nursing care within a busy and well-equipped practice. From monitoring anaesthesia and caring for inpatients to assisting with procedures, running nurse consultations and supporting clients, no two days are ever quite the same.

This is a role where you'll be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing qualification while continuing to develop new skills and interests along the way. We believe in empowering our nurses to take responsibility, contribute ideas and play an active role in patient care.

You'll be supported every step of the way while also having the freedom to grow in confidence and develop your own nursing style.
