Job summary

Pierse Motors Ltd. is seeking an apprentice technician based in Ennis, Co. Clare.

The role offers on-the-job and off-the-job training as you advance through the early stages of your motor trade apprenticeship. Responsibilities include servicing and repairing vehicles, diagnosing faults, and maintaining service records. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-focused and eager to learn across engines, electronics and vehicle systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent practical skills.
• Ability to work quickly while paying attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
• Minimum of 18 months motor trade experience.
• Has at least completed phase two.
• Strong writing skills; report writing for qualified technicians.
• Comfort using information technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Repair and replace faulty parts and components.
• Advise customers or the service department about required repairs; producing time estimates.
• Maintaining repair and service records.
