Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland is seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will prep vehicles for the painting process after repairs by panel beaters, ensuring surfaces are flawlessly prepped and primed for final paint.

You will work closely with panel beaters and spray painters to maintain high quality finishes, handle seam sealer applications, and keep the prep area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Prepper in a professional auto body shop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and preparation techniques.
• Experience with seam sealer and other waterproofing applications is essential.
• Skilled in the use of tools and equipment necessary for high-quality vehicle preparation.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving excellent finishes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and repair vehicle bodies post-collision, preparing them for priming and painting.
• Apply primer to repaired surfaces, ensuring thorough coverage and proper preparation for painting.
• Sand, mask, and otherwise prepare vehicle surfaces to a fine finish.
• Apply seam sealer as required to ensure waterproofing and seamless repairs.
• Ensure that vehicles are clean, masked, and 'gun ready' for spray painters.
• Collaborate closely with panel beaters and spray painters to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage supplies and equipment related to the prepping process, including inventory tracking and reordering as necessary.

Job Summary
