Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is hiring two Vehicle Intake & Inspection Operatives to support a busy vehicle operation in Ireland. The role involves receiving vehicles, recording details, visual body inspections, and preparing vehicles for the next stage of the process.

The position runs on a three-day shift from 07:00 to 19:30 with a hands-on workload requiring good attention to detail, reliability, and basic IT skills. Full driving licence is required to fulfil duties.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to follow a defined process consistently.
• Basic computer skills to log and track vehicles.
• Shift work and outdoor work as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check vehicles arriving into the operation.
• Verify vehicle details/VIN and required documentation.
• Carry out an initial visual inspection of the vehicle body for existing damage.
• Accurately record and photograph any damage identified.
• Wash/clean the underside of vehicles in preparation for inspection and repair.
• Ensure vehicles are correctly identified and moved to the appropriate next stage.
• Maintain accurate records and vehicle traceability.
• Escalate any discrepancies, damage or concerns to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow all NVD health & safety and operational procedures.
