The Organisation:

Sankalpa CLG is a community based project for addiction recovery in the Finglas and Cabra areas of Dublin. Sankalpa is funded by the HSE and DEASP.

The Sankalpa team works through advocacy and partnership to empower people to address their drug and alcohol challenges by providing low threshold access, day stabilisation programmes and targeted training and employment placements for those in recovery.

We manage, deliver and review our individualised programmes to help and support service users on their rehabilitation path. We use evidence-based therapeutic, qualitative and creative programmes to achieve both personal and social recovery outcomes.

The Role:

As Sankalpa continues to develop, we are seeking new trustees to join our board to ensure we have robust processes in place and the skills to fulfil our strategic goals. Sankalpa are seeking an individual with proven knowledge in financial management or accountancy.

• Finance, Accounting, and/or Audit background
• Qualified accountant

Responsibilities will include the following.

• The candidate must be a qualified Accountant, ACCA or CIMA qualified, ideally withat least 5 years experience
• To have a deep insight into all Financial policies and controls and propose any recommendations for change.
• Liaise with the Finance sub-committee and the management team to review and prepare the annual budget and monthly accounts
• To have oversight of compliance and risk management in the organisation.
• Have an overview of the finances to advise the Board on financial implications of proposals etc.
• Oversight of compliance and risk management in line with usual board responsibilities

Board Meetings

There will be board meetings every 6 weeks, on Tuesdays from 12.30pm online forapproximately 1.5 hours.
