Job summary

NBC Global Finance Limited – Dublin is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support liquidity and funding management under the Head of Treasury. The role offers broad exposure across treasury, risk and operations, and involves collaboration with NBC Group functions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ relevant experience in treasury, ALM, liquidity, risk or treasury operations within a bank or financial institution, with strong Excel and analytical abilities. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience across treasury, ALM, liquidity, risk or treasury operations within a bank or financial institution.
  • Detailed exposure to treasury, risk and operations activities, including the trade lifecycle, settlements, confirmations, reconciliations and collateral/margin management.
  • Working knowledge of the CRR and associated RTSs, ITSs, DAs, DRs and Central Bank of Ireland liquidity and funding requirements, including LCR and NSFR.
  • Knowledge and experience of securities lending transactions and derivative strategies, with understanding of risk, liquidity and operational considerations.
  • Familiarity with liquidity and funding risk concepts, limit monitoring and prudential reporting.
  • Understanding of global economic and market forces.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability and experience using treasury and/or risk systems.
  • Attention to detail, communication and collaboration skills, with ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Treasury with day-to-day management, monitoring and reporting of liquidity, funding and market risk.
  • Produce, monitor and report liquidity and funding metrics including LCR, NSFR, ALMM and HQLA, and explain drivers of daily movements.
  • Assist with intraday liquidity, cash flow monitoring, forecasting and liquidity stress testing.
  • Support HQLA monetisation testing and collateral management activities.
  • Prepare management information and analysis for ALCO and ERC committees.
  • Monitor exposures against Board-approved limits and risk appetite; escalate breaches and assist with due diligence for new activities.
  • Build knowledge of trade products and lifecycle; maintain treasury artefacts including ILAAP, Funding and Liquidity Plan and Contingency Funding Plan.
  • Support liquidity policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in 1st and 2nd lines.
  • Assist responses to regulators and external auditors on liquidity and treasury matters.
  • Support horizon scanning for liquidity regulation and evolving market practice.
  • Collaborate with FLM team and NBC Group Treasury.

Job description

The Treasury Analyst, reporting to the Head of Treasury supports and assists in the management and oversight of the firm’s liquidity and funding needs. This role provides analytical and operational support across treasury, risk oversight and operations, helping to ensure that the firm manages its liquidity and funding within Board-approved risk appetite and in line with applicable regulatory requirements.

This role offers broad exposure across treasury, risk and operations, partnering with FLM, Front Office, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Oversight, Compliance and Operations, as well as relevant NBC Group functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Treasury with the day-to-day management, monitoring and reporting of the firm’s liquidity, funding and market risk position.
  • Support and manage the daily production, monitoring and reporting of liquidity and funding metrics, including LCR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio), NSFR (Net Stable Funding Ratio), ALMM (Additional Liquidity Management Metrics) and HQLA (High Quality Liquidity Asset), and help explain key drivers of daily movements.
  • Assist with intraday liquidity and cash flow monitoring, forecasting and support liquidity stress testing and scenario analysis.
  • Support and review HQLA monetisation testing and collateral management activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of management information and supporting analysis for ALCO and ERC committees.
  • Monitor treasury, liquidity, funding and market risk exposures against Board-approved limits and risk appetite, supporting limit utilisation reporting and timely escalation of breaches. Assist with due diligence for new activity/product regarding funding and liquidity needs and impacts.
  • Built and apply knowledge of trade products, instruments and operational processes across the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and collateral/margin processing. Assist in maintaining and developing the treasury artefacts, including the ILAAP, Funding and Liquidity Plan and Contingency Funding Plan.
  • Support and review all liquidity related policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in the 1st and 2nd lines.
  • Support responses to queries from regulators and external auditors on liquidity and treasury matters.
  • Support horizon scanning for liquidity regulation and evolving market practice.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the FLM team and support liaison with NBC Group Treasury.
Skills and Experience Required:
