Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Functional Analyst – POM / MAKE to support the Transcend SAP S/4HANA program in Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland. You will work on MES integration, master data validation, and manufacturing process alignment with the global template.

The role requires a university degree, experience in regulated environments, and strong English communication. Involvement spans requirements, design reviews, validation, and deployment support across the ERP journey.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a relevant business, technical, or scientific discipline.
• Hands-on functional experience within a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Experience supporting ERP or digital transformation initiatives, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of Manufacturing Execution–related capabilities within the Transcend SAP S/4HANA program.
• Provide hands-on functional support across solution confirmation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure manufacturing solutions align with the global template, regulatory requirements, and SAP Clean Core.
• Execute detailed functional tasks including configuration, data validation, and integration readiness.
• Support testing, deployment, and hypercare activities post go-live.

About Transcend

Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one clean ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains.

The program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven systems to one, standardizing processes to create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that enables agility and scalability across the business.

Additionally, Transcend will remediate end-of-life system exposure expected toward the end of this decade, reducing risk while enabling long-term sustainability.

Role Purpose

The Functional Analyst – POM / MAKE supports the deployment of Manufacturing Execution–related capabilities within the Transcend SAP S/4HANA program. The role provides hands‑on functional support across solution confirmation, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring Manufacturing solutions align with the global template, regulatory requirements, and SAP Clean Core principles.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Functional Delivery & Execution

• Support SAP–MES (PAS-X) integration activities, PLM-driven engineering change processes, master data validity checks, and Manufacture at Risk capabilities.
• Assist with functional validation of Manufacturing master data, process orders, BOMs, master recipes, and production versions.
• Support solution confirmation activities by documenting requirements, reviewing designs, and validating alignment with the global template.
• Execute detailed functional tasks including configuration support, data validation, and integration readiness activities.

Testing, Deployment & Hypercare Support

• Prepare and execute Business Simulation Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities under the guidance of the Functional Deployment Lead.
• Support defect triage, resolution, and retesting activities.
• Provide functional support during deployment and hypercare periods.

Qualifications

Required

• University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant business, technical, or scientific discipline.
• Hands‑on functional experience within a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Experience supporting ERP or digital transformation initiatives, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred

• Prior involvement in global ERP deployments.
• Experience with MES systems and SAP integration
