Job summary

Centra is seeking a Trainee Manager in Ferns/Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford to support the store management team and gain experience across departments. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, upholding brand standards, and contributing to training initiatives.

You will help merchandise, manage planograms, and handle supply procedures while developing leadership and customer-service skills in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail industry experience is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable.
• Experience with fresh food is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Participate in training and development initiatives, and performance assessments.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard according to planograms and guidelines.
• Implement planograms and ensure correct range in store.
• Gain competence with all supply procedures – ordering, delivery, stock rotation and control.
• Manage the departments as assigned, engage with new initiatives and adapt to new ways of working.

• Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures €" ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures
• Manage such departments as are assigned to you
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
