We are seeking a Trainee Field Services Technician to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, trainee or practically minded individual looking to begin a career within the environmental sector. Through structured training and hands‑on experience, you will develop specialist skills across environmental monitoring, water sampling, noise monitoring, air quality monitoring and a range of environmental field services.
The role is primarily field‑based, involving travel to industrial, commercial and public sector sites throughout Ireland. Based from our Limerick office, you’ll work closely with experienced technicians, learning how to undertake environmental monitoring programmes, collect environmental samples, maintain monitoring equipment and support the delivery of environmental compliance services.
Axis offers a clearly defined progression pathway, enabling successful candidates to develop into technicians and progress into more senior technical and supervisory roles over time.
Candidates with strong practical ability and a willingness to learn will also be considered, as full training will be provided.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys practical work, problem-solving and working in a field-based environment.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn, self‑motivated and comfortable working outdoors at a variety of client sites. You’ll enjoy hands‑on work, be willing to travel and have a genuine interest in building a long‑term career within environmental monitoring and compliance.
Whether you’re a recent graduate or someone with practical experience looking for a new career path, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist technical skills within a growing business.
