Job summary

Axis Environmental Services, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Trainee Air Emissions Technician to join our field team in Ireland. The role is primarily field-based, with travel to industrial sites and a base from our Limerick office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related scientific discipline.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Interest in environmental monitoring and technical field work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height when necessary.

About the Role

We are seeking a Trainee Air Emissions Technician to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or technically minded individual looking to begin a career within the environmental sector. Through structured training and hands‑on experience, you will develop specialist skills in air emissions monitoring, stack testing and environmental compliance.

The role is primarily field-based, involving travel to industrial sites throughout Ireland. Based from our Limerick office, you'll work closely with experienced technicians, learning how to conduct emissions monitoring projects, collect environmental data and produce technical reports. Some overnight stays will be required as part of the role.

Axis offers a clearly defined progression pathway, enabling successful candidates to develop into fee‑earning technicians and progress into more senior technical roles over time.
