Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Investigations Analyst to join the Central Investigations team in Ireland. You will assess threats related to terrorism and violent extremism, conduct in-depth analyses, and collaborate with Policy, Engineering, and Integrity partners to protect users.

This Short-Term Employment position requires handling sensitive content, availability for after-hours work, and a track record in open-source investigations and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in investigations or analysis in related domains.
  • Knowledge of terror organizations and violent extremism actors and related online research tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent.
  • Analytical and investigative skills to assess large data sets and identify credible information.
  • Experience handling sensitive issues including graphic content and extreme views.
  • Ability to work after-hours and weekends.
  • Ongoing AI skill development and familiarity with emerging AI tech.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate terrorism and violent extremism issues affecting Meta and its communities.
  • Analyze complex cases and assess threats on Meta technologies.
  • Independently prioritize analyses based on threat severity and deadlines.
  • Identify sources of abusive behavior and assess credibility of threats.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Policy, Engineering, and Integrity teams.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to identify potential abuse.
  • Work with graphic and sensitive content regularly.
  • Make timely, sound decisions during time-sensitive investigations.
