Job summary

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin is seeking a SJH Theatre Porter for the St Joseph's Campus, Raheny Dublin/Beaumont Hospital, on a permanent basis. The role supports theatre portering, patient transport, equipment and stock management across the campus, working closely with nursing and clinical teams.

The post requires Leaving Certificate or equivalent; experience in hospital portering preferred. You will undertake training in infection control and manual handling, and you may be asked to work across

Qualifications

• Be educated to Leaving Certificate Level or equivalent.
• FETAC Level 5 qualification relevant to Healthcare.
• Experience of working in the Public Health Service.

Responsibilities

• Complete Theatre Portering duties across campus theatres.
• Safely transport patients to and from wards, departments and theatres.
• Transport, replace and check medical gases in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assist in patient positioning for different surgical procedures.
• Maintain infection prevention and control with PPE and safety procedures.
• Undertake general portering duties and participate in overtime if required.
