Job summary

Adecco is seeking a commercially minded Director of Technology in Dublin, blending hands-on leadership with strategic oversight. The role balances architecture, cost controls and vendor governance to drive a scalable, secure platform across European markets.

The successful candidate will report to the CEO and shape the technology strategy and operating model, while delivering tangible business value and guiding digital transformation initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Senior technology leader with proven track record in steering strategy and architecture.
• Strong background in digital transformation and enterprise platform delivery.
• Experience managing external vendors and outsourced delivery.
• Sharp commercial acumen with ability to challenge suppliers and ensure value.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the organisation's technology strategy and roadmap.
• Own the overall technology architecture and ensure scalability, resilience and security.
• Act as the primary technology advisor to the CEO and executive leadership.
• Review and evaluate the existing technology landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Manage and challenge external technology vendors, delivery partners and managed service providers.
• Lead supplier governance, contract reviews, service performance management and technology procurement activities.
• Assess the effectiveness of current outsourced technology functions and make recommendations regarding future operating models.
• Oversee technology budgets, investment decisions and vendor spend.
• Provide strategic oversight of the organisation's Dynamics 365 CE environment and wider business systems.
