Job summary

EY Technology Risk – Assurance Senior Consultant role in Dublin/Cork focuses on regulatory compliance and IT audit across a diverse client portfolio. You will lead fieldwork, draft findings, and present to management while mentoring junior staff.

You will build knowledge in cybersecurity, data protection, IT project management and IT controls, contributing to EY’s growth in digital governance and regulatory services.

Qualifications

• A strong track record in delivering Technology Risk services with a focus on Regulatory Compliance and IT Audit.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Motivated self-starter with ambition to drive a team and growth.
• Experience supporting business development activities.
• Experience presenting to Engagement Management teams with strong business acumen.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; reporting is essential.
• Knowledge/experience in Cybersecurity, Data Protection, IT Project Management and IT Controls (SOX, SOCR, ISO, PCI-DSS).
• Background in Regulatory Compliance is essential.

The Team and the opportunity

EY works extensively in this area and provides assurance and consulting services to a range of major organisations in Technology Risk. We have ambitious plans to continue strengthening and growing our offering in this area particularly in the fields of Technology Risk.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have a background or experience in Digital Regulation / Governance including Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), AI Governance. If you have a background in IT SOX, SOCR, ISO etc you may be a good fit. We are looking for a dynamic individual to help us support this area of the practice, to form part of our existing team and to deliver our ambitious growth targets in this area.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in our Technology Risk team within the Assurance practice, you will be responsible for delivering to a broad portfolio of clients and engagements, collaborating with a sizeable team and supporting the growth of our business. You will be a key member of the Technology Risk team reporting directly to the Engagement Managers.

You will have responsibility for:

• Supporting a portfolio of engagements with our clients.
• Collaborating with clients to agree, scope and plan the delivery phase of engagements.
• Delivering the fieldwork phase of engagement and drafting reportable findings for management review.
• Support management on the presentation of our reports and findings to Audit Committees.
• Contributing to developing the market Technology Risk Services specifically focusing on Digital Regulatory Compliance and Governance.
• Supporting the development of our junior team members and acting as mentor and coach.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A strong track record in the delivery of Technology Risk services with a focus on Regulatory Compliance and / or IT Audit
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• You will be a motivated self-starter, with the ambition to drive a team and support continued growth.
• You will have experience in supporting business development activities.
• You will be experienced in presenting to Engagement Management teams and have demonstrable business acumen and technology risk knowledge.
• Excellence in oral and written communication and reporting writing are essential.
• We would expect candidates to have knowledge and experience in:
• Cybersecurity.
• Data Protection.
• IT Project Management; and
• IT Controls (SOX, SOCR, ISO, PCI-DSS etc)
• Regulatory Compliance

Ideally, you will also have

Background in professional services environment where you have gained extensive experience in practice management

• Ideally you will be a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Other IT related qualifications such as ISO42001, ISO27001 lead implementer or auditor are also desirable.
• We also welcome qualified accounting or auditing professionals with suitable experience in this area.
• AI Governance or Cybersecurity qualifications are desirable
