Job summary

Keary’s Motor Group is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician to join our KearysBandon team on a full-time basis. Based on Clonakilty Road, Bandon, you will service, repair and maintain a range of vehicles, contributing to high standards of workmanship and customer care.

You will work with a supportive team, attend training, keep accurate records and comply with safety practices; a full, clean driving licence and SOLAS/FAS qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Motor Technician with SOLAS/FAS or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
• Full, clean driving licence and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop repair, service and maintenance skills for vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are handled with care during servicing.
• Attend internal and external training as directed.
• Keep the workshop tidy and organized.
• Communicate additional work needs to Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser.
• Be prepared to work overtime with notice.
• Utilize tools and equipment to improve service levels.
• Stay updated with product knowledge and service bulletins.

Role Overview

Keary’s Motor Group is looking for top calibre candidates to join its winning team. We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Technician to join our dynamic, growing team based in KearysBandon, Clonakilty Road, Bandon.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Ensure that the vehicles worked on are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken of that vehicle on the premises for repair or service.
• Attend internal and external training courses, as directed by management.
• Keep the place of work tidy and in a clean condition.
• Advise the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser of any additional work necessary on a van/commercial vehicle during a service.
• Be prepared to work overtime, with reasonable notice, if requested by the management.
• Make full use of Special Tools, Service Test, Service Equipment and training as provided to improve customer service levels and workshop efficiency.
• Maintain thorough and current Product Knowledge and read all Service Information and Service News bulletins as supplied by Service Management.

Role Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Qualified Vehicle Motor Technician (Registered with SOLAS/FAS or relevant qualification).
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
